Con Ed Delaying Street Work on Wolfs Lane Until After Holidays
Village Administrator Robert Yamuder announced today (Nov. 23) that Con Ed will delay the street work on Wolfs Lane between Brookside Avenue and the Boulevard until after the Christmas holiday.
Merchants along that block had asked the Pelham Chamber of Commerce, Village officials and Town officials to appeal for the postponement because the work would eliminate all parking in front of the stores. Provisions, Artistic Manner Florist and Blue Dog Wine, in particular, depend on holiday shoppers.
The Con Ed work is to repair gas lines; it had been scheduled to begin on Monday, Nov. 30 and run for two to three weeks.
