Richard J. ("Richie") Hickock, 67

Richard J. "Richie" Hickok, 67, of Little River, SC, died on Friday, January 4, 2008 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. He was 67.

Born on December 14, 1940 in Mt. Vernon, NY and raised in Pelham, he was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Mooney Hickok. He was fondly known as "Dickie" to friends in Pelham.

Richie was a volunteer fireman in Pelham Manor, a member of American Legion Post #186, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, American Legion Post #50 in Pelham and the owner of Klassics Restaurant in Calabash, NC. He graduated from Pelham High School in 1960, was a six-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and received his engineering degree at the University of Delaware.

He is survived by his wife, Genny Hickok of Little River; his children, Scott, Joseph, Craig, Todd, Karen and Kelli, and their spouses; one aunt, Lucretia; a sister, Nancy; nine grandchildren; two nieces; and many loving friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Pelham Town House this Sunday. Jan. 20 at 2:00pm with fellowship following until 5:00pm.
